I mentioned previously that I have tried Google Reader and NewsGator for web based news aggregators. Since when I am on my computer, I use a desktop aggregator, my main use for the web base aggregators is for use on my cell phone.
Last week, I saw this post that mention that Bloglines Moble is using technology from Skweezer. This is is suppose to optimize html for small screens. So I decided to try out Bloglines again.
It was very easy for me to import my opml file into Bloglines.
There were some things that I ran into:
- For some reason, I keep failing to claim my blog, even though all of the claim keys are in the right place.
- When modifying multiple feeds, it was not clear that clicking on the link, doesn't change the page, but runs some javascript.
I don't see anything really compelling with Bloglines Mobile. The mobile interface to Google Reader is a lot better, and NewsGator allows you to create a private url to make logging on easier.
